EARLY YEARS - How We Help

The YMCA Early Years Centre provides parents the convenience of a "one stop shop" of resources and support.  Through informal peer conversations, workshops, seminars, support from Early Years staff and community professionals, parents increase their knowledge of child development and healthy lifestyles choices, becoming more confident in their own parenting styles.

Exposing young children to learning environments of play increases literacy levels, social skills and physical development, ensures more children are ready for school and have higher academic achievement throughout their life.       

Our programming not only provides children a stimulating ready to learn environment for play, but also role models who provide teachable moments for parents to ensure continued  learning at home.
